He has successfully completed over 175 M&A transactions in the manufacturing, distribution, funeral, technology and business services industries. In addition he is active in the valuation team completion of more than 100 business appraisals for divestiture, acquisition, partnership dispute and divorce purposes.
In 1991 he co-founded Carpenter Hawke & Co., a Boston-based lower middle-market investment banking firm to better serve the ownership needs of privately held companies looking to sell. The partners senior level advise, experience and attention to every client together with their hands on approach from start to finish makes all the difference in getting a deal successfully completed. Tom Hawke has been in the M&A industry for over 30 years. He has acted as an advisor to sellers and completed over 200 successful transactions in the United States and United Kingdom.
He has built a solid foundation of partnerships, dialogues, and conversations, with clients and has a unique view of the markets and the marketplace, and utilizes a highly structured approach to transactions.
Prior to Carpenter Hawke & Co., he operated his own group of companies in the hospitality, retail and manufacturing industries and entered the M&A world with Christie Group a leading M&A firm in the UK and Europe operating both nationally and internationally specializing in the hospitality, leisure, healthcare and retail markets.
After settling in the US he co-founded Carpenter Hawke & Co., a diverse M&A firm based in Boston, specializing in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and business valuations for middle market companies in the manufacturing, distribution, service, retail, hospitality and technology sectors.
